<Basic signature group(recommended)>
It is the recommended signature group as the scan duration and accuracy are well balanced.
This group contains the typical payloads and the signatures detecting common vulnerabilities such as those caused by frequently used products.
<All signature group>
This group has all the current signatures and enables high detection accuracy.
In addition to the signatures in Basic signature group, it has the signatures that detects uncommon vulnerabilities such as those caused by a specific product.
Compared to Basic signature group, the scan duration will be long since the number of scanning signatures or the probability of duplicate detection increases by sending additional payloads not included in the Basic signature group for the same vulnerability in order to improve the detection accuracy.
<Speed prioritized group>
This group emphasizes the scanning speed.
Included signatures are as same as them in Basic signature group, however Vex automatically detects used/unused parameters, and when Vex detects unused parameters, it will skip scanning for them so as to increase the scanning speed.
* Vex determines "used or unused" of parameters by the difference of response when a parameter is operated (insert a special symbol etc.).
· Between "Basic signature group" and "All signature group"
They have a difference in the scanning accuracy and the scan duration.
In addition to the signatures in Basic signature group, All signature group's signatures can detect non-frequently detected vulnerabilities which is caused by a specific product.
· Between "Basic signature group" and "Speed priolitized group"
They have a difference in the scan duration.
"Speed priolitized group" automatically analizes parameter usage status and skips some paramters.
Each group covers the entire category. There is no special categories that are detected by a specific signature group.
